KOH-I-NOOR office 0.5

Upon looking at this pencil, many would say: -Oh, another P205 clone.- and move along.
This pencil is not a clone. It seems to me that it is better then the P205. Newer versions of the P205 don't have the cleaning pin, this pencil does. Another complaint about the newer P205 is the ''ridge'' where the pencil's two halves join. This pencil has no ''ridge''. This is my everyday drawing pencil and it does the job good. Real good. The mechanism is a stiff one with a nice positive click when you advance the lead. The only problem is the non-retractable, sharp tip. I imagine you would get sharp (no pun intended) looks from your wife on the mystery hole in your new jeans pocket.
Pros-looks, mechanism, cleaning pin.
Cons-sharp tip.

Staedtler rasoplast

This is my everyday eraser, the STAEDTLER rasoplast eraser. It is available in 3 different sizes and as a multi-eraser - one side erases pen, other pencil. It erases quite well, but catches dirty marks upon erasing a soft pencil. Since i won't take bogus quality pictures with the web-camera and because my real camera is unreliable, I'll just have to say this is the best eraser I have ever used and cut the talk.
Pros-excellent erasing, variable sizes
Cons-dirty marks

Decline

Sorry for the long wait,I was busy. Today, I'm going to talk about the decline of fountain pens in everyday writing. Fountain pens were started for me when i got a Parker Jotter fountain pen, which I still use today with great pleasure. I really wonder why so many people use cheap, disposable ballpoint pens (I'm looking at you, BIC) which on the end toxicate some clean river or field. It seems to me that most people think of fountain pens as unreliable, leaking pens which make a mess wherever they are. Let me say this straight: fountain pens won't leak if you treat them respect, if you refill them with bottled ink they won't be unreliable and it's you making the mess, not the fountain pen. It seems to me that people have no respect to anything inanimated; no respect for objects, like a fountain pen or a mechanical watch. Nobody, except for those who understand that a fountain pen has to be cared for, will be able to write with one properly. This is not restricted to fountain pens, this is a plague everywhere. Lot of people have forgotten how to calculate in their head or on paper(I've seen that, too), and when they are asked, they say something along the lines of this:"Why do I need to calculate, when I have a calculator?"-. That's it for today, I'm exhausted. ~Electric pen

STAEDTLER graphite 779

The graphite 779 is a fine writing m.p. It looks like a plastic tube with a few metal parts and a name. I don't like that look, but the black version looks much better. Almost immediately you notice the cartridge that sticks out. Underneath the cap is a small eraser which erases quite well.
The cartridge wobbles when erasing, which is not very good for use in the long run. The grip is not good. My fingers hurt after some writing, though it may not be the same for somebody with larger fingers. The pocket clip is excellent and sturdy, with a good spring.
Specs:Length:147 mm retracted; 149 mm extended
Grip:rubber
Pocket-safety:yes
Sleeve:writing
Good stuff:eraser, pocket clip, printing
Bad stuff:wobbling, cartridge sticking out, grip
