The graphite 779 is a fine writing m.p. It looks like a plastic tube with a few metal parts and a name. I don't like that look, but the black version looks much better. Almost immediately you notice the cartridge that sticks out. Underneath the cap is a small eraser which erases quite well.The cartridge wobbles when erasing, which is not very good for use in the long run. The grip is not good. My fingers hurt after some writing, though it may not be the same for somebody with larger fingers. The pocket clip is excellent and sturdy, with a good spring.
